Bengaluru. March 2: More than the plight of the people, it is only politics that matters for Congress, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.
Reacting to statements of Congress leaders blaming BJP for the death of Karnataka student Naveen in Ukraine, Bommai said, Congress is indulging in politics even over the death of a student in the war zone. That shows how low Congress is stooping to. Wars had happened in the past too when UPA was in power. But they had failed to bring home even one Indian safely.
It is only India which is successfully bringing its nationals in such large numbers safely back. Four Union ministers are camping in Ukraine exclusively to assist the evacuation. Indian Embassies have been strengthened with additional staff. Communications have been established. In the next 72 hours aircrafts would have been arranged to bring Indians back, Bommai said.
