Bengaluru, Nov. 28: A tiger which had killed a 50 year old woman in Hediyala range, Bandipur Tiger Reserve was captured at around 1.40 am today.
It may be recalled that the tiger, which had killed the woman on November 24, had involved in killibg of two cattles too.
The ten-year-old male tiger is said to be in good health. It has been shifted to Koorgalli rehabilitation centre near Mysore.
Forest staff who had waited inside a cage tranquilised and captured it when it came to attack a bait – cow.
The effort and work of the forest field staff who fortunately had the on-ground support of field director Dr Ramesh Kumar and ACF Parmesh has been appreciated widely.
