Prevention of Road accident Day – 2022
Bangalore, Nov. 17: Additional deputy commissioner Krishna Murthy called upon youth community to sincerely follow traffic rules to avoid road accidents.
Inaugurating at the Prevention of Road Accident Day – 2022 organised at the Sri Kanteerava Stadium he said adhering to traffic rules will only avoid accidents but also ensures the safety of pedestrians. The programme was organized under the aegis of District administration, Zilla Panchayat, District family and health welfare department, Sports and Youth Services, Indian Red Cross and a few organisations of Bangalore.
Adhering to traffic rules should be part of parcel of our lives. Volunteers must ensure that they involve themselves in creating awareness among public and children about the traffic rules, said commissioner of Labour Department Ravi Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, actress Samyukta Hegde said that youth should inculcate social responsibility.
Balakrishna Shetty, governor of Red Cross, Mohammad Tasilulla, deputy governor, District Health Officer Dr. Indira Kagadi, Bhaskar Nayak, PV Shetty, Ravi Kumar and other took part in the programme.
