Youth leader Raksha Ramaiah elected as General Secretary of Indian Youth Congress ( IYC)
Bengaluru, June 3: Karnataka Youth Congress leader Raksha Ramaiah, son of former minister MR Seetharam, has been appointed as National General Secretary of the Indian Youth Congress (IYC), on Friday.
Ramaiah was president of Karnataka Youth Congress and his services to the party and in strengthening the youth congress was laudable.
B.V. Srinivas, Indian Youth Congress President announced that Ramaiah has been appointed as the national general secretary with immediate effect.
Exuding the confidence in Ramaiah
IYC president Srinivas said that the party is confident hst you will work hard and devote your time to further strengthen the Congress Party under the dynamic leadership of Sonia Gandhi Rahul Gandhi.
It may be recalled that Mohammed Haris Nalapad, son of Shantinagar Congress MLA N.A. Haris succeeded Ramaiah as Karnataka Youth Congress chief.
Reacting on the new assignment and responsibility Ramaiah said he is honoured and humbled to take up the new responsibility bestowed on him by the party. He promised to work for strengthening the party at National level. His earlier experience would come in handi he said and added that he would strive and work as voice of the young community and implement resolutions taken at Chintan Convention at Udaypur.
