Vaccination to for children between 15 and 18 years. Caution dose to frontline workers

In the wake of sudden spiraling of the highly contagious omicron variant of Covid-19, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation and made three important and major announcements.

Children between the age of 15 and 18 years will be brought under vaccination drive starting from January 3, 2022.

Addressing the nation he said that frontline workers and healthcare workers will be jabbed with ‘Precautionary Dose’ from January 10. People who are above 60 years with co-morbidities will be considered for booster dose on doctors’ recommendation. He also cautioned them to be doubly triply careful. This drive will also begin from January 10 next year, he announced.

Appealing the people to be alert and careful he asked the people of the nation to wear mask and wash hands regularly.

He explained the number of hospitals and oxygen facility available across the nation. He also indicated the country citizens to not to panic and required medical arrangements have been made.
