Major decision by the State government
Bengaluru. March 25.
The State government has decided to celebrate Jagadguru Sri Renukacharya Jayanthi annually on March 16 all over the State.
The State government has issued an order to this effect today.
Jagadguru Sri Renukacharya has presented a great epic ‘Siddantha Shikhamani’ to the society. He preached the ideals of social harmony and brotherhood. He has lakhs of devotees all over the country including Karnataka. The Veerashaiva Mahasabha of Kalaburagi had appealed to the State government to celebrate his Jayanthi as a government programme. The Department of Kannada and Culture has issued the orders acceding to the demand to celebrate Sri Renukacharya Jayanthi annually on March 16.
