HD Kote, Jan. 30: A sexual assault and Prevention of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act case has been lodged against a head master for allegedly smooching (lip to lip kiss) a girl student in his chamber at a school in H.D.Kote town in Mysuru district, police said on Saturday.
A personnel from Education Department has lodged the plaint.
The video of the headmaster holding the girl student and kissing her in his chamber at the school went sensationsl and viral on social media.
The obscene incident has shocked the state. As the video went viral, villagers and students have demanded action against the headmaster. The video was shot by the students through the window.
Based on the complaints and outrage of villagers, the Block Education Officer (BEO) has lodged a complaint of sexual assault on minor school girl by the head master and sought stern action against the accused. The conduct of the teacher has embarrassed the entire Education department.
Sexual exploitation case has been taken up for investigation. Police are verifying the complaint and the accused will be taken into custody for questioning, said police sources.
