Minister Ashwathnarayan should be sacked for cheating people

Bengaluru, July 14: Minister Ashwathnarayan must be sacked from his post for his involvement in corruption in relation to distribution of toolkit to SC/ST students.

While speaking at press conference Prithvi Reddy said, “For the allegation levelled against minister Ashwathnarayan, he says he has saved Rs. 5.27 crores of government’s money. This statement made by him is to save himself. Fact remains that since was only one bidder, when they called again for the tender, it was awarded to the company that had applied in the first round. This was done with the sole intention getting kickbacks and not to save money. The minister does not speak about the forged/fake documents that was submitted in the tender process, but he only talks about how much money he saved.”

“As per the conditions of the tender, the company should have the ability to procure 30% of the requirement. The documents shared by the company is fake and this is evident on GST portal. Why the ministers and officials of the department have not questioned these is the biggest question” said Prithvi Reddy.

“Surprisingly, the same company was involved in another controversy, a couple of months back. Laptops, which could have been procured for Rs.14,000 were bought at Rs.24,000 by the government causing huge loss to government’s exchequer” Prithvi Reddy informed the press during the meet.

“Although this was discussed in both the legislative houses, nothing worthwhile happened. Ashwathnarayan must be dismissed
from the post of minister and CBI or judicial inquiry must be conducted on this. If the government does not take a constructive action against this, more documents in regard to this corruption will be submitted to the court and we will fight for the people” Prithvi Reddy warned.
