Accused candidates will not be entertained to appear for exam
Probe on to ascertain involvement of police staff
Bengaluru, April 29: Close on the heels of arrest of police sub inspector (PSI) recruitment scan prime accused Divya Hagaragi and two others from Pune, Maharashtra by CID sleuths, Home Minister Araga Jnanendra ordered for a fresh examination for PSI recruitment.
Addressing a press conference on Friday he said that all 54289 candidates will be allowed to appear for re-examination except the tainted candidates.
The probe is on into the misappropriation and the investigation has revealed that the scam has taken place in more than one centre. He suspects scam in Bengaluru centres too.
DGP is assisting the probe and strict action will be initiated if the involvement of department staff is proved, assured Jnanendra.
Fresh examination:
Emphasis will be given for fresh examination in a transparent manner. The department is also verifying if the examination should be conducted from an external body.
