Amit Shah to visit State on May 3: CM Bommai

Bengaluru, April 29: Union Home minister Amit Shah is likely to visit Bengaluru on May 3 and I would try to use the opportunity to seek an audience to discuss cabinet expansion, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.

Speaking to media persons after attending the programme to launch the new products of JS Group of companies he said, “I am heading to Delhi today evening to attend the conference of Chief Ministers and Chief Justices of all States. I have not discussed cabinet expansion with the party top brass. The party leadership will take the decision at appropriate time.”

Work on Dharwad FMCG cluster to start this year; Project to create one lakh jobs:

The work on Dharwad FMCG cluster with a potential to provide employment for one lakh people would be started this year itself. The State government is offering special concessions for the project, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said.

He was speaking after launching new food products of JS Group of companies. The country needs companies which are formed by the people, for the people and work to meet the needs of the country. Karnataka is a progressive state. About 180 Research institutions from all the sectors are functioning in Bengaluru.

Karnataka and Bengaluru are at the top in attracting Direct Foreign Investment in the country. International level jobs are being created in Bengaluru, Bommai said and invited the entrepreneurs to invest in Karnataka in industry and technology sectors to generate more employment.

Bommai appreciated the growth of JS Group of companies whose Teju brand of food products have gained immense popularity all over the country. The company has provided employment for about 4000 people, he said.
