Free artificial limb camp measurement for physically abled, noble cause: Minister B. Nagendra

Minister extends all kinds of support including land allocation to Narayan Seva Sansthan

A National level NGO from Udaypur Narayan Seva Sansthan performed surgeries for more than 4.33 lakh physically-abled people

Bengaluru, July 17: Minister of Youth, Sports and Tribal Welfare B Nagendra inaugurated the drive to obtain artificial limb measurements for physically abled people as per their disability to provide their required support for the disability on Sunday. Measurements were taken for patients who had come from different states like Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh at a camp organised at Arasoji Rao Kalyana Mantapa, VV pura, Bangalore.

Measurements were taken by an experienced orthopaedists, a prosthetic specialist. The minister received information from the expert doctors about the steps taken to bring new hope in the lives of the disabled and lead a self-reliant life.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister B. Nagendra, says, “the government’s health schemes are a ray of hope for those who have lost precious organs in an unexpected accident. Besides government institutions like Narayan Seva Samsthan which has dedicated itself for social service, has helped to ease the financial burden of the patients for abled people to overcome their difficulty.

The noble institution Narayan Seva Institute has so far performed surgeries for more than 4.33 lakh disabled people over 38 years is a testimony of the organization’s unparalleled service. 38,200 disabled children, men and women have been fitted with artificial limbs free of cost and hoped that this service will run continuously and unabated manner.

“We do Anna Dasoha, Akshara Dasoha. But not organ donation. We assure provide all possible assistance from Bellary district. We also provide assistance from companies in our district and Karnataka. Kaishal Manav, the head of the organization, is a living God. I will try my best to accommodate such a noble institution. Even in my office 8 to 9 physically challenged people are working. I have given jobs to four physically-abled persons in Bellary as recent as Saturday. I will serve the physically abled people till my last breath. He said that the Sports and Youth Ministry is also ready to provide appropriate assistance for such humanitarian service and noble cause.

General Motors Company Chief Sri. Amit Bhat Patel, businessman Sri Ganpat Baglecha, Narayan Seva Sansthan Public Relations Officer Sri Bhagwan Prasad Gaur, camp coordinator Sri Rohit Tiwari, media coordinator Sri BV Chandrasekharaiah and others were present in the program.
