Bengaluru, April 21: Following an adverse verdict by High Court on his plea challenging the sanction given by the state government to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to prosecute him KPCC president DK Shivakumar on Friday said he would fight till his last breath.
DK Shivakumar had challenged both the sanction and the FIR in two separate petitions before the high court.
“I will fight till my last breath. I believe in a court of law. I still believe injustice is met to me. Everything is transparent,” said Shivakumar.
The petition stated that the CBI was causing mental trauma by issuing repeated notices. It also submitted that along with Shivakumar, his wife and daughter were also served with notices by the investigating agency.
Shivakumar had challenged the sanction on grounds that it was a political vendetta FIR, and three earlier FIRs had already been filed against him in relation to disproportionate income.
On Thursday evening, a single-judge bench of Justice K Natarajan dismissed the petition challenging the sanction.
