Distribution of sarees to hundreds of women on the occasion of Rahul Gandhi’s birthday
Bangalore, June,19: The ambitious Bharat Jodo Yatra undertaken by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has led to a significant change in the country, which has started a journey from hatred to peace in the political system, said MS Raksha Ramaiah, Andhra Pradesh Youth Congress in-charge and Youth Congress National General Secretary.
Speaking after the distribution of sarees to hundreds of women in Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh, on the occasion of Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s birthday he said that after the Bharat Jodo Yatra, Rahul Gandhi’s charisma and leadership has multiplied and he is emerging as mass leader.
“Bharat Jodo Yatra” is helpful in infusing new enthusiasm in the Congress party and it is a platform for the Congress to regain its past glory. He has also met people from different sections of the society and heard their thoughts and problems.
Congress’s Bharat Jodo Yatra was held from September 7 to January 30 last year and was instrumental in gathering public opinion in favour of Congress party. He said that the yatra passed through 12 states and two Union Territories and it was a new milestone in political history.
