After getting rap on the knuckles, the BBMP seems to have pulled up the socks and filling the potholes across the city using modern potholes filling technology machine. It may be recalled that the high court came down heavily against the BBMP for failing to fill potholes and even issued Non Bailable Warrant (NBW) against the BBMP chief engineer.

The Pothole filling drive was taken up at arterial and sub arterial including at ward levels. On Tuesday, Python machines were pressed into service to fill potholes in East zone was inspected by Mr. Gupta. Potholes were filled at MG Road, Cubbon Road. Mr. Gupta directed officials to ensure that no potholes are left unattended in these arterial and sub arterial roads.
Python machine, a specially equipped, pothole patching machine is being used to fill up the potholes in 122 roads (total 180 kms) including 17 roads in East zone, 37 in West zone, 32 in South zone, 8 in RR Nagar zone and 28 sub arterial roads.
But the question is whether all the potholes will be filled by the python machine and will they last long to ensure that motorists are not inconvenienced.
