Actor Mahendra Manoth bags “Special Dedication Award” for best acting

Also gets best lyrics award for documentary

He acted in State Anthem Jayabharata Jananiya Tanujate

Bangalore, Dec. 16: Actor and social worker Mahendra Manoth bagged a special award for his priceless acting in a famous album on state anthem “Jaya Bharata Jananiya Tanujate” composed by Rashtrakavi Kuvempu.

Actor Mahendra Manoth bagged “Special Dedication Award” for his acting and the award was given away at a scintillating three-day Karnataka International Film Festival – 2022 held at the Gandharva Kala Mandir at Hubballi. The award was given away by Kannada film actress Priyanka Upendra and another actress Bhavya.

In the absence of Mahendra Manoth the award was received by director of the album B. P. Hariharan.

A lyric of the documentary “Hedaradiru O Manase” (don’t be scared dear mind) directed by Mahendra Manoth during the Covid situation secured “Best Lyrics” award.

The music for the state anthem has been composed noted musician Vijaya Krishna. The album has been directed by B. P. Hariharan and sung by Ajay Warrior.
