3 Nigerians held, drugs worth Rs 80 lakh seized

Bengaluru, Dec 29:
Karnataka police cracked down on drug racket in Bengaluru on Wednesday and arrested three Nigerian nationals and seized drugs worth Rs 80 lakh.
The accused confessed to police that they smuggled the the substance into Bengaluru
for distribution to elite customers during new year celebrations for a premium.
MDMA, cocaine, hasish have been seized by the police.
The sleuths of Narcotics wing of the Central Crime Branch (CCB) have kept strict vigil on drug peddlers in the city. Based on inputs and activities of Nigerians in Bagalur police station limits, special operation was launched. The accused had come to India on business Visa.
Investigations revealed that the accused brought drugs from Mumbai hid them in the soap box in their residence.
The cops have conducted raids on the residence and seized 400 grams of MDMA, 40 grams of cocaine, 400 grams of hasish, 5 soap boxes used to hide and transport drugs, measuring instrument.
