Bengaluru, June 17:
A life partner is someone who you share a deep relationship with you for life! Your Body is The Life Partner – You Never Recognized! Your body is – One companion who walks with you from your first cry to your last breath, yet often goes unnoticed and unappreciated. It’s the only partner that truly never leaves our side, no matter what. So before anything else, nurture it, respect it, and love it—because you are your body’s life partner too.
Take care of your body! It is the only place- a home, you have to live your entire Life! Your body is a temple. Keep it pure and clean for the soul to reside in. Beautiful faces should not have petty minds! Yes, often Beauty is skin deep! I always tell people, live happily and die majestically!
What Makes You, You?
It is undeniable that I am me as long as I remain in the very same body and have the same DNA and the same fingerprints. This means that personal identity is constituted by bodily identity!
Your doctor can advise, your family can support, and your friends can motivate—but no one can live in your body except you. No one else can exercise for you, breathe for you, or eat healthily for you. This is your responsibility and yours alone.
The scriptures view the body as a necessary but troublesome companion to the Soul with which it has to live until its liberation. It is a friend to those who live piously in human service and an enemy to those who pursue their own desires and delusions! One should rather live to liberate the soul that is held captive inside the body!
The head is considered to be the center of knowledge, consciousness, and intelligence! The heart holds great spiritual significance, representing love, compassion, and emotional well-being. The Hands represent action, productivity, and the ability to manifest one’s desires. • Legs symbolize stability and strength! Spiritually, the body is seen as more than just a physical vessel. It is a sacred temple that houses the soul and spirit.
The body is the only place you have – to live all your life! Everyone dies. It’s just a matter of time. What happens to your body when you die? Among the mysteries in life, none is as intriguing as the mystery of death. In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count. It’s the life in your years. Money comes and goes. Relatives come and go! Friends are not permanent. It’s so important to make sure you take good care of your body, mind, and soul every day! It is more than just looking good, keeping it clean and wearing fancy clothes! Self-care is to align your body, mind, and soul.
When the life and the body are in alignment you exist! You have a name! The life is in between the first cry and the last breath! The moment there is nonalignment your name, fame and all that you have goes for a toss! You become just a body! Once your body stops responding no one is with you. Health is a state of complete physical, mental, social and spiritual wellbeing!
Those who do not find time for exercise will find time for illness. Good health is a priceless asset that it is easy to take for granted. Poor health interferes with daily living including finances! Stress itself can exacerbate health issues.
Don’t smoke! Be moderate with Alcohol! Limit refined carbs!
Make sleep part of your self-care routine
Six to eight hours of sleep each night! Stress and other distractions can wreak havoc on our sleep! Wind it down with music, meditation, or stretching! Be happy! Sound sleep is a big part of self-care!
Eat with heart in mind!
The Elements of Diet – Protein is an essential part of our diets; it is the building block for all cells in our bodies, organs, bones, muscles and blood. Intake 1mg per kg body weight! Fat is also an essential part of our diet, despite its bad press. We can’t live without it, and it is by far the most efficient form of energy.
Unlike protein and fat, carbohydrates or carbs are not essential to our diets. Most of us probably consume too many carbohydrates. Sugar should account for no more than 10% of the dietary calorie requirement! The food we eat has the potential to either keep us healthy or contribute to weight gain or diseases such as diabetes, hypertension, cancer etc. Eating well and eating right has important long-term consequences and longevity!
Exercise- Put your best foot forwards!
At least 150 minutes of moderate intensity activity each week along with twice a week of resistance training! Eat nuts and seeds! Avoid ultra-processed foods! Stay adequately hydrated! Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Exercise daily as part of your self-care routine.
Do Something You Enjoy! Shower daily! Take regular naps- not while driving! Develop simple act of kindness and gratitude! Regular check-ups can help detect and prevent health issues early. Visit your healthcare provider regularly for routine check-ups and screenings. Stay up-to-date with vaccinations to protect against preventable diseases. Remember, no one can help your body other than you.
Trusting Your Body’s Wisdom!
“Love your body”! Take care! It will take care of you for a lifetime. Imagine embarking on a journey with a dear friend, hand in hand, navigating the twists and turns of life’s unpredictable terrain. “Listen to your body’s whispers before they become screams! Your body is constantly speaking to you. Are you listening!
The truth is, your body is the only life partner perfectly made for you. Your body is made to provide you with shelter, healing capabilities, love and thoughts. It is yours to keep and the one thing in your life that you should be truly selfish about.
