Bengaluru, July 23:
The two-day “Mega e-Khata Mela” held on July 22 and 23 at the HMT Ground, R.T. Nagar in the Hebbal Assembly Constituency, under the limits of BBMP’s East Zone, witnessed an overwhelming response from the public and concluded successfully.
Organized with the objective of providing transparent and citizen-friendly services, the mela catered to residents from 08 wards within the Hebbal constituency. To streamline various stages of the application process, the following arrangements were made:

* 6 counters for EPID searching
* 10 counters for document scanning and uploading
* 10 counters for document verification and approval
With the deployment of over 40 laptops, each stage of the process was conducted in an efficient and organized manner.
Over the course of the two days, a total of 771 tokens were issued — 485 on Day 1 and 286 on Day 2. Except for a small number of applicants (approximately 12) who either failed to submit the required documents or had not cleared their BBMP property tax dues, e-Khatas were issued on-the-spot to all other applicants, marking the program a resounding success.
