Bengaluru, June 8: The Fourth Edition of Green Vehicle Expo will be organised at Bangalore International Exhibition Centre (BIEC). The three-day expo will be inaugurated by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on June 16. Minister for Energy K J George will attend the event.
The Green Vehicle Expo will focus on the electric vehicle industry as well as the renewable energy sector which is fast becoming the mainline source of energy supply and is in line with the commitment of the government of India to provide sustainable and clean forms of energy for day to day consumption as well as mobility.
Speaking with media persons on Wednesday, Surendra Kumar K R, Chairman of Karnataka Renewable Energy System Manufacturers Association said that association members played a key role in the government ordering installation of roof-top solar panels in Bengaluru. “Bengaluru is also known as the solar capital of the country. Around 80 percent of two-wheelers have to be electric vehicles by 2030,’’ he said.
The exhibition is supported by the Karnataka Government, the Federation of Karnataka Chambers of Commerce and Industries, Karnataka Renewable Energy System Manufacturers Association, Karnataka Small Scale Industries Association, Bengaluru Auto Dealers’ Association, Hubli Automobile Dealers’ Association, and Karnataka Two Wheelers Workshop Owners and Technicians’ Association.
The three-day expo is expected to witness 15,000 visitors and will have more than 100 exhibitors which include players like Ather Energy, Microtek, Lucas TVS, Hykon India showcasing more than 700 different products.
Mohammed Mudassir, Director, Media Day Marketing, Hyderabad, has said that the expo will have testing of vehicles and discount for the vehicles booked at the expo.
