Bengaluru, July 7: The state budget which focuses on the development of the entire community has given new lease of life to the poor, women and youth, said National General Secretary of Youth Congress and AICC member M.S.
Raksha Ramaiah said.
The concept of universal basic income advocated by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been implemented for the first time in entire country and it will create a new dimension for development.
An estimated 1.30 crore families will benefit from five guarantee schemes announced by Congreaa government.
52 thousand crore rupees will be spent on such a pro-people program and it is a model for other states in the country. Shakti scheme is already popular. Griha Jyothi, Griha Lakshmi, Yuva Nidhi programs will be implemented shortly. This will be the beginning of poverty eradication in Karnataka in the coming days. Siddaramaiah’s economic discipline and concern for the people will be a model for other Chief Ministers.
Reacting on the budget, Raksha Ramaiah expressed confidence in preventing leakages, curbing unnecessary expenses and implementing pro-people programs by getting a fair share from the Centre. The 14th historic budget was presented by the Chief Minister and this budget attracted more interest than before. But the Chief Minister has said that he has taken a step of faith to fulfill the wishes of Buddha, Basava, Ambedkar, Kuvempu and Narayanguru.
