BENGALURU, July 23: If you spot a problem in your neighbourhood you may be wondering who you should complain to? Solve Ninja is a group of enterprising and enthusiastic youths who strive to solve the local problems in association with the neighbourhood people and to better their living.

This time, solve ninja attempts to create awareness among the nieghbourhood about the possible problem or flooding point in the urban area and to bring the flooding point to the knowledge of the officials concerned.

The team has dedicated a whatsapp number and appeals to members of public to send picture and location of the flooding point through Whataspp to 8095500118 by typing “Floodmap” to achieve ZeroFloodDeaths.

The solve ninja feels that by bringing the problem or flood point to the attention of the officials concerned it could be solved without leading to possible damage or loss of life. The flooding at the KR Road underpass is the trigger point for the initiative about flooding. If the public give flooding points, the officials can incorporate and address the issues, said solve ninja volunteer Goutham.

Last year Solve Ninja’s initiative on sanitation audit at government schools yielded a positive result following the audit campaign, government earmarked school sanitation funds. In yet another initiative, pothole mapping was done across the city with the support of citizens and the same was acknowledged by the high court in its verdict. This inspires the team for more such social cause initiatives, adds Goutham.
