Belagavi, March.02: Since the beginning, the Congress Party has been arranging the crowd by paying Rs 500 per person and now the truth has come out. There is no element of surprise in it as it has been their tradition, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Reacting to a video that has gone viral on social media in which Siddaramaiah said to bring people for programs by paying Rs 500 per person, the CM told reporters here on Thursday that this is their situation since the beginning and it became public. The people are aware of the same.
Replying to Siddaramaiah’s allegation that the government had not given funds for the development of the fort, the CM said the Congress government which was in power from 2013 to 2018 has not given a single paise for the development of the fort. If they had released it, then they would be invited to inaugurate it once again. It is the incumbent government that has given Rs 50 lakhs towards the fort development. “We did everything, we dedicated it to the people and it is our right”.
On not inviting local MLA to the function, Bommai said the government has given the funds and also inaugurating it. Let them (the Congress party) do anything and they are not bothered.
