Hubballi, Jan.12: A scheme in the name of Swami Vivekananda is being launched in Karnataka to provide self-employment to five lakh people.
Speaking after inaugurating the 26th edition of the National Youth Festival in the twin cities of Hubballi-Dharwad on Thursday, he said this scheme aimed to make the youths self-employed. It is named Swami Vivekananda scheme as he has been a source of inspiration for many youths plus a monk. He was a great personality who preached meditation and knowledge to the youths.
The CM said Prime Minister Narendra Modi is a source of inspiration for many to lead a self-reliant life. The PM has considered the country’s huge population as a demographic dividend and plans to use the force to build the nation. Modi has created a sensation among the youth through the programs like Khelo India.
Bommai said Karnataka is the first state in the country to implement the New Education Policy. For the coming International Olympics, the state has selected 75 athletes, adopted them, and they are being trained them to win medals for the county. The week-long Youth Festival must inspire the youth of Karnataka.
