Tumkur (Sira), Jan.06: The Government of India has released Rs 500 crore towards Tumkur Smart City Project, announced Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Addressing a public meeting here on Friday, he said the Central Government has consented to grant Rs 1,000 crore to build a 6,000 km national highway in the State as well as Rail Under Bridges and Rail Over Bridges. Under the Raitha Sanman scheme, Rs 9500 crore has been transferred to the bank accounts of farmers. The Ayushman Bharath Scheme has been extended to one crore people and opened a sufficient number of Jan Aushad centers.
The welfare programs speak volumes about the works of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The Modi government has approved Tumkur, Shira, Chitradurga, and Davangere rail projects. This is due to the double-engine government. Funds have been released to pay crop input subsidies to farmers and for the improvement of ports.
