Rajeshwari Tejaswi wife of veteran Kannada novelist late K P Poornachandra Tejaswi passed away on Tuesday at a private hospital in Bangalore. She was 84 years old. She was suffering from ailment and was admitted at Rajalakshmi hospital in Bengaluru three days ago.Rajeshwari was born in 1937 to a middle class family in Kalasipalya, Bengaluru.Rajeshwari who had come to University of Mysore for higher education had met Poornachandra Tejaswi.
The two got married in 1966.After the demise of litterateur Poornachandra Tejasvi she settled alone at the farmhouse at handpost farm at Moodigere. Apart from her favourite hobbies she also took care of hercoffee estate.
A few days ago, she went to her daughter’s house in Bangalore. She also had keen interest in literature and she toed her husband’s footstep. She also published a book ‘Nanna Tejasvi’ (My Beloved Tejasvi) and she became popular. ‘Namma Manegoo Bandaru Gandhiji’is her second book. Both her daughters are techies. Rajeshwari was also the honarary chairperson of Tejaswi Foundation.
