Bengaluru, June 7: The world is a cruel place – steal without compunction, bully without shame, and seize every advantage they can, with no concern for others’ suffering. People are out to hurt you if they can, and it’s even worse if they can’t. Inflicting harm or pain on someone incapable of doing the same to you might seem intolerably cruel, but it happens more often than you think. Humans are the glory and the scum of the universe! Little has changed. We love and we loathe. We help and we harm. We reach out a hand and we stick in the knife.
We live in a world that is cruel. Man is a biological terrorist. Wild animals are less wild and more human than many humans. Animals are such agreeable friends―they ask no questions, they do not criticize.
Chaos is the norm here. We can never eliminate chaos. Humanity thrives on the premise that order prevails. The concept of order is fundamental. However, it’s also important to remember that change and adaptation are equally crucial for the progress of humanity. Order is a state of tranquillity in the systems or laws. All abide for the greater good of their own and others’ existence.
It’s a cruel and random world, but the chaos is all so beautiful. Chaos is what we have lost touch with. Stop trying to force order and perfection into an imperfect life full of uncertainty. The most powerful emotions come from chaos -fear, anger and love- especially love. Think about it! It shakes you up and spins you around. And then, eventually, it falls apart or you fall in love. No matter how worse things get, there will always be one person to pick you up. Guess who? YOU!
We are too bothered about our safety, security, and comfort that we forget living. Our fears limit us, and one who unduly fears becomes a loser. Most conflicts begin with a sense of chaos and uncomfortable feelings of fear, hurt and anger.
Moral laws are based on human nature. Natural law is a philosophy that is based on the idea that “right” and “wrong” are universal concepts, as mankind finds certain things to be useful and good, and other things to be bad, destructive, or evil. This means that, what constitutes “right” and “wrong,” is the same for everyone, and this concept is expressed as “morality.”
Thou shalt not kill, is based on the value of human life and the need to preserve it. “Thou shalt not commit adultery” on the real value of marriage and family and trust. Loving children is need for growth and mental stability.
The common man is like a worm in the gut of a corpse, trapped inside a prison of cold flesh, helpless and uncaring, unaware even of the inevitability of its own doom. Humans need something to be feared. God was invented! Wrong does not cease to be wrong because of the majority share it! The world is a dangerous place to live not because of the people who are evil but because of the people who don’t do anything about It.
We humans are an unruly bunch. So much so that we need laws to keep order, to make sure we stay on track. Without our laws, society would quickly descend into chaos. The laws of man are guarantors of order, a necessary control against the inherent greediness of our species.
The laws of Nature are very different from the laws of man. While the laws of man seek to order and control individual and social behaviour. Laws of Nature are universal! Tsunamis and earth quakes are laws of nature gone astray!
Is Might alone right? No, not in a civilised world. Might with merit and judicious use makes it good! Force is not persuasion. Deceit is not strength. Fear does not constitute leadership. Lies do not trump reality. Evil triumphs–only with the consent of the virtue.
The violence is as barbaric ! Stand for what is right not just might! Simply having the ability to do something does not justify doing it. Instead, ethical considerations, empathy, and compassion should guide our actions.
When a man kills a tiger he calls it a sport; when a tiger kills him due to hunger he calls it inhuman! People are cruel sometimes; but kindness is the rule. Courage is what it takes to stand and speak, courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen!
In the context of Animal world – Might is right is right! It refers to how life plays out among animals. Security is a superstition. It does not exist in nature – whoever is strong and kills gets the food. The strength the animal makes it a leader. In such a case, there is no good or bad — just who has more power survives.
“The strong do what they can, the weak suffer what they must.” I strongly desire to see a more just, caring, fair, and benevolent world.
