Opposition mounts from within party for Terdal MLA Siddu Savadi

Party workers favour young gun Sangamesh Nirani

Bangalore, April 4: There is a growing resentment and anger from within BJP for re-nomination of incumbent BJP MLA from Terdal Siddu Savadi.

A loyal party worker from Terdal vented out his anger against Siddu Savadi and charged that hks contribution to the constituencynis absolute nil. His renomination goes against wishes of loyal workers, alleged the party worker and said that the same has been communicated to the party leadership.

Hundreds of workers from Terdal had stormed the resort where BJP meeting was on in Doddaballapur Road to state their point. They also visited state office in Malleshwaram and urged the leaders not to give ticket to Siddu Savadi.

Another worker, Channamallikarjuna Sanganahatti said, “Siddu Savadi is good for nothing. He is not dynamic. He is not active. He won the elections last time because of Yediyurappa. If this time, he is chosen as candidate, the BJP is bound to lose”

They not only opposed Savadi’s leadership but suggested Sangamesh Nirani, the younger brother of Murugesh Nirani, Minister for Industries, as their favourite leader.

“Sangamesh is still young. He is expert on irrigation matters. He looks after the family business and sugar factories. He is good in administration. His contact with the people is cordial and respectful. If Sangamesh Nirani is chosen as candidate, then the BJP is sure to win,” Mallikarjuna Patil explained.

When his attention was drawn towards the fact that not many can be accommodated in one family, Channamallikarjuna Sanganahatti said, “The people want him as MLA. At some times, we need to accommodate. Winning the election is more important than some rules and regulations. Sangamesh Nirani is the people’s choice. His credibility and acceptability is high among the people.”
