NR Ramesh demands CID probe into the Rs.13000 cr scam

Bengaluru, March 16: In yet another alleged mega scam, by the Karnataka Rural Infrastructure Development Limited (KRIDL), the BJP Bangalore South district president N R Ramesh has demanded Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai for a CID probe into the scam.

Speaking to reporters at the BBMP premisea after releasing the documents pertaining to alleged scam Mr. Ramesh claimed that huge misappropriation has taken place from 2015-16 to 2020-21 at BBMP jurisdiction in various infrastructure projects, executed by the KRIDL under the BBMP jurisdiction.

Mr. Ramesh on Wednesday demanded stern action against 62 officials including 6 IFS officials who were involved in embezzlement of funds in the garb of development work. Blacklist all the contractors and file criminal cases against those contractors for playing crucial role in misappropriation of funds at the BBMP jurisdiction, he demanded.

Mr. Ramesh released 6,932 page documents are urged Mr. Bommai to not to provide him any development works within the BBMP jurisdiction. Further, Mr. Ramesh alleged that the KRIDL has executed only sub-standard works.

Infrastructure projects have been allocated to KRIDL by seeking 4G exemption. Majority of the works executed by the KRIDL are substandard, alleged Mr. Ramesh.

KRIDL doesn’t have provision to execute projects in city limits, especially at BBMP jurisdiction, he reiterated.
