Bangalore, Feb, 18: The new producers play a key role in the development and survival of the Kannada film industry and hence they should be encouraged, said Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce President M.S. Suresh said.
Releasing the logo and fortnightly kannada
newspaper ‘Udaya Bhanu’ at the Akkamahadevi hall of the Sahitya Parishad in the city on Sunday je said every year 400 new movies get released.
He presented several awards including Madhyama Seva Ratna to senior journalists Nanjundappa V, Chandrashekar and others.
Film actor Muguru Suresh speaking on the occasion said that Newspapers are the mirror of society, those who are at the helm of power must fulfill the demands of the common people. A man should do good deeds. Human beings must be kind and have helping nature. Even if they don’t help they should not harm others, he added.
Film actor, producer Gandasi Sadananda Swamy, senior film actors Vaijanath Biradar, Bhagyashree, fortnightly newspaper editor Mallikarjun and other dignitaries were present.
