Bangalore, Dec. 23: The 8th ACMM court on Friday has issued a Non Bailable Warrant (NBW) against Karnataka Contractors’ Association president Kempanna made corruption charges against horticulture minister V. Munirathna.
It may be recalled that a few days ago, Kempanna had a meeting with former chief minister Siddaramaiah and addressed a press conference and made an allegation that Rs. 22,000 crore is due from different government agencies to the contractor community. The bills are pending for the last three years.
Following the allegation Munirathna had threatened to lodge a defamation case against Kempanna. Sticking to his words Munirathna had lodged defamation complaint against 18 office bearers of the contractors’ association.
After hearing the allegations about the criminal and civil defamation filed by Munirathna against Kempanna issued NBW and adjourned the case to January 19.
