Narayana Seva Samstha donates artificial limbs

As many as 270 physically challenged persons get aid

Mass Marriage of Divyangs in February; process to commence soon.

Bengaluru, October 1: Rajasthan-based Narayan Seva Samstha, which is dedicated to the cause of physically abled for the last four decades, on Sunday donated modular artificial limbs to 270 physically challenged persons. The camp was held at Maratha Hostel Grounds on Bull Temple Road.

Narayan Seva Samstha Bangalore Unit President Vinod Jain speaking on the occasion said, his organisation has decided to broaden its horizon on noble activities in Bengaluru in the next coming days.

“We intend to hold Mass marriage of Divyangs in February next year in city. During the first mass marriage ceremony about 50 couples would be considered, in fact, the number may swell upto 100,” Vinod Jain added.

Narayan Seva Samstha has already held sports events to Divyang such as cricket, swimming among others. In foreign countries, fashion shows of Divyang are held. “There is no bar on the caste, creed and race of Divyangs in this camp,” he explained.

“The modular artificial limbs distributed today are made of German technology.  This is weight less and of superior in quality. Narayan Seva Samstha has till today distributed artificial limbs to over 39,000 physically challenged people, free of cost,” says Vinod Jain.

“We are providing skill training under the supervision of experts and have enabled them to build their lives,” Vinod Jain said.

Physically challenged persons from the age group of 10 to 70 were provided with artificial limbs at the camp. Training was provided to walk with plastic limbs. Mirrors were installed to enable them to practice and improve walking skills on the artificial limbs.

It was no short of getting a rebirth for physically abled persons after getting modular artificial limbs. Some of them played football and enjoyed their newfound life.

Bipin Ram ji Agarwal, Amit of General Motors, Ramesh Sankhla, Dr Uttam Ji Kheecha, Director Narayan Seva Sansthan Rajat Gour, Event Head Narayan Seva Sansthan  Rohit Tiwari were present on the occasion.
