Bengaluru, July 25: Music has great power to nullify anti-social forces and ability rectify society’s inadequacies,
said Former Lok Ayukta Justice Santhosh Hegde.
Addressing the gathering at 5th edition of Sahitya Sinchana, a cultural programme, at Nayana auditorium he says, “I am in discussion with several people on this issue,” and disclosed that he has been discussing the matter with the Swamiji of Sri Ramakrishna Ashrama at Tumkur.
“The Swamiji is of the view that music is being utilized as therapy and it is possible to bring about a transformation in the society,” Mr Hegde explained.
About 180 dance forms were exhibited in the Samskruthika Suggi programme. The Children’s performance was a special attraction.
Indian Vehicle Driver Union Gandasi Sadananda Swamy, Kannada Cine Producers Association President Umesh Banakar, KPCC General Secretary D. K. Mohan and senior journalist V. Nanjundappa were present on the occasion.
