Bengaluru, April 27: In the wake of increasing trend in covid cases giving a strong indication about the imminent fourth wave, Prime minister Narendra Modi emphasised in 3Ts (test track and treat), ramping up vaccination and to keep a tight vigil on foreign travellers.
Addressing the Chief Ministers of different statew through video conference Modi said that the fear of Corona and mutation of the Corona has not ended yet. Modi has also directed to impose certain restrictions to effectively control the spread of virus.
He mandated ramping up of vaccinations for children in the age group of 6 and 12, 15 to 18 years and booster dose for senior citizens. He also directed to ramp up bed availability at government and private hospitals.
Modi suggested to take up campaign like vaccination drive at schools for children aged between 6 and 12 years.
However, citizens of state especially Bengalureans need not worry about tough rules or night curfew as Prime Minister Narendra Modi has insisted on Test Track and Treatment.
Chief minister Basavaraj Bommai said testing has been ramped up in the state especially in the state. 20,000 tests will be done in the state while 10,000 will be done in Bengaluru city alone.
Fire audit will be done at all the hospitals to ensure no fire accidents take place.
