Govt. lifts night curfew from Jan. 31

As reported earlier by Bengaluru Express, the night curfew and 50:50 occupancy rule has been lifted with effect from January 31 night.
However, 50:50 occupancy rule stands applicable for theatres and multiplexes across the state.
Speaking to mediapersons on Saturday after an expert committee meeting chaired by Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai, Revenue Minister R. Ashok said that the night curfew has been withdrawn from January 31.

It is said that bowing to pressure from several industries and declining Covid-19 cases the night curfew curbs have been withdrawn.

As per the data graph provided by the heakth and family welfare department, the Covid-19 cases is steadily on the declining path.

Yesterday, the state saw 31108 cases while city witnessed 15199 cases. The above statistics is an indication that the cases are declining and night curfew will either be lifted or relaxed in a staggered manner.
