Free and Fair examination for Assistant Professor posts: minister Ashwath Narayan

Bengaluru, March 9:

There will be no room for any malpractice and to maintain transparency at all levels. He also told them to find solutions immediately if any issue crops up, directed Dr. C. N. Ashwatha Narayana, Minister for Higher Education.

He held a Video Conference meeting on Wednesday with District Commissioners, Superintendents of Police, Commissioners and other officials of 7 districts in connection with the examination scheduled between March 12-16 for selecting1,242 Assistant Professors for government first grade colleges.

Minister also cautioned that District Commissioners and Superintendents, who are examination officers in respective districts will be considered responsible for any kind of untoward incident related to the examination.

Over 33,000 candidates will be writing examinations at seven places (Bengaluru, Mysuru, Mangaluru, Shivamogga, Dharawada, Belagavi, and Kalaburagi).

To ensure hassle free running of examination 1,409 center invigilators, 82 observers, 82 custodians and 164 special vigilance squad have been deployed.

Examinations will be held at 82 centers on 12th & 13th, at 22 centers on 14th, at 24 centers on 15th, at 8 centers on 16th.

Advising the candidates to adhere to the prescribed dresscode, Narayana told that a Dedicated Helpline (99015-81708) has also been set up to have vigilance on any sort of irregularity. Further, he told, it has been instructed to clam prohibitory orders around the centers during examinations.
