Bengaluru, July 2: As part of EV Campaign to promote EVs, the Energy Minister V. Sunil Kumar has flagged off EV rally here on Saturday.
Minister himself rode electric vehicle from Vidhana Soudha to Chamara Vajara hall at Palace Ground along with BESCOM MD P. Rajendra Cholan and other officials.
Around 30 EVs including electric scooter, tractors participated EV rally.
To bring EV awareness to the public, the state government has been organizing one week EV Abhiyaan. The Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai and Mr. Sunil Kumar had inaugurated three day EV expo on Friday, organized by BESCOM.
Government is encouraging to establish EV charging stations, battery productions units and EV related activities in the state, said Mr. Sunil Kumar while flagging off EV rally.
