Congress’ Mekedatu padayatre and Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai who was tested positive for Covid-19 and his contact with others have added to the fear of increasing Covid cases.
KPCC president was seen not following Covid appropriate behaviour, while CM Mr. Bommai, earlier in the day, inaugurated the booster dose administration for frontline workers and senior citizens with comorbidity at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical College and Research Institute along with Health Minister K Sudhakar and others. He also paid his final homage to noted litterateur Chandrashekar Patil who passed way today.
He also held a meeting with former vice-chancellors and chaired a discussion on administrative reforms with senior officials.
Karnataka has added 11,698 new Covid cases including 9,221 cases in Bengaluru. While Mysuru reported 309 new cases.
A total of 1.50 lakh tests were conducted and the positivity rate touched 7.77 per cent in the State. Similarly in Mysuru 5,760 tests were done and 309 positive cases were confirmed.
