Commercial tax officials assure support to industries

E-way bill related issues to be resolved

Bengaluru, June 16: In an attempt to quickly resolve possible harassment meted out to industries and those into business with regard to E-way bills, assured Raghunandan Murthy Additional Commissioner (Enforcement) Department of Commercial Taxes.

Speaking at an awareness programme with regard to E-way bill for job work and others at PIA auditorium Murthy assured that harassment and problems with regard to e-way bill will be resolved on priority after discussing the same with the nodal officers of the department. The programme was jointly organised by Peenya Industrial Association (PIA) and Commercial Taxes.

Speaking on the occasion, Murali Krishna, president of PIA requested for an exemption for E-way bill for BBMP limits or Bangalore urban for the assessee doing Job Work or to enhance the limits of E-way bill for Job work from Rs. 50 thousand to Rs. 2 lakh on the lines of Gujarat and Kerala.

He also urged for an exemption with warning or caution for those possessing or carrying E-way bills with printing error by the job work companies.

Keeping the larger interest of the industries Krishna requested for quarterly GST adalat at the PIA premises to resolve issues relating to GST and on creating awareness about GST.

Reacting to requests from Murali Krishna the commercial taxes authorities assured to find solution by discussing with senior officials.
