Bengaluru, Dec.1: Karnataka is very clear on its stand on the border row with Maharashtra and the case will come up for hearing in the Supreme Court, said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.
Talking to reporters after garlanding the statue of former Chief Minister late Kengal Hanumanthaiah on his death anniversary here on Thursday, he said the stand of Karnataka has been that the application filed by Maharashtra is not maintainable and the same will be argued in the apex court by the advocates representing Karnataka. “Our stand is constitutionally and legally valid and all these factors will be explained to court by our advocates”.
No entry for rowdies in BJP:
The CM categorically said no rowdy will be inducted into BJP and permission will not be given for such things. There is no question of change on this stand.
Separate college for Muslim girls not discussed:
Reacting to State Wakf Board Chairman’s statement that the separate colleges for the Muslim girls will be opened and allowed them to wear the hijab, Bommai said this has not been discussed at the government level and it may a personal opinion of Wakf Board chairman. This is not the state’s stand and the chairman must discuss with the government before making such a statement”.
