Special Commissioner of Education, Preeti Gehlot urged parents to enroll more children to the BBMP Nursery Schools as they are offering quality education.
Speaking after inauguratikn of BBMP Education Department’s “Chinnara Chilipili Kalarava” program for nursery children at the city’s Sir Puttanna Chetty Town Hall, she stated that, “The BBMP Nursery Schools have all the facilities necessary for the children’s education. Children’s development has improved significantly after the agreement with Pratam Organization.”
This initiative is being carried out for the first time in the BBMP’s history in an attempt to unearth children’s talents, encourage teachers, shape children’s futures and give them self-confidence, she added.
Children showcase their talent:
Ritvik, a four-and-a-half year old child studying at BBMP Ramachandrapur School, astounded everyone in presence by accurately naming our nation, state, capital, president, vice president, prime minister, governor, chief minister, education minister, health minister, chief commissioner, national emblem, fruit, flower, animal, flag, river, tree, vegetable, national anthem, constitution framer, poets who have won the Jnanapeeta Award and many more. Not just Ritvik, but the other children showed their talents too.
Issuu of certificates:
100 children and 152 teachers in the BBMP Nursery Schools were honoured with congratulatory letters.
In order to recognize the talent in children, recitation of songs, mono acting and cultural programs were organized for the children.
93 Nursery Schools:
There are 93 Nursery Schools in the BBMP limit, with 5089 children studying. There are 34 permanent and 117 guest teachers working in the Nursery Schools.
Appreciation from parents:
When the children’s parents praised the BBMP Nursery Schools, they mentioned that the kids are taught a variety of activities. The Kannada language, games, speech, sketching, reciting poetry, story telling and physical activities of children are all being taught. They happily conveyed their happiness at the fact that all children now receive free education, which greatly supports families with low incomes.

Deputy Director Lokesh, Assistant Commissioner Dileep, Senior Assistant Director Munishamappa, teachers, parents and children of the nursery schools were present on this occasion.
