BJP did not get majority despite appeals to vote in the name of Modi: This is Modi’s defeat
Bangalore June 5: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said that the people of the nation have accepted Rahul Gandhi.
He was speaking at a press conference held at the Krishna after the election results.
We have not been able to win seats in the state as per our expectations. We were expecting 15-20 seats. . However, in 2019, we won only one position.This time we have risen to 9. We have got 45.34% vote share and BJP got 46.04%. In 2019, BJP got 51.38 percent votes. We got only 31.88% votes. Compared to 2019, our vote share has increased. BJP’s vote share has dropped by 5%. Even after aligning with JDS, their vote share has decreased. JD(S) also got less than in 2019. However, we did not win as many seats as expected. Congress vote share has increased at the national level. The BJP which was in office at the center has won fewer seats than Modi did in 2014 and 2019. BJP did not get majority, even in the name of Modi No party has got majority, CM said.
BJP failed to obtain simple majority. Modi wave was not seen anywhere in the country. Thus, it is obvious that this result has destroyed Modi’s popularity. He said that it is not possible to say who will make the government.
At the end of the election, Modi asked for votes in the name of religion and God and directly spoke against other religions. Even though he falsely claimed that the Congress would take away the reservations of the backward, Modi did not get a majority. NDA lost 64 seats from last time. He said that this is BJP’s defeat at the national level.
Due to this defeat, Modi has no moral right to become the Prime Minister again. Opposition leaders and chief ministers were jailed. In the name of ED, IT, CBI, they threatened and intimidated, but the people of the country did not give majority to BJP.
BJP lost in Ayodhya despite the Rammandir inauguration. He said this is BJP’s defeat.
Country accepts Rahul Gandhi
Congratulating Rahul Gandhi for his victory, the CM said Rahul Gandhi’s two yatras have yielded results. The people of the country have accepted Congress and Rahul Gandhi to a very large extent. In both the constituencies, Rahul Gandhi won with huge margin.
With the constitution in hand, Rahul Gandhi campaigned in the entire country. He said that the people of the country are holding Rahul Gandhi’s hand for the survival of the constitution and democracy.
An analysis of the impact of the government’s guarantee schemes has to be done, he said.
Congress votes have increased in the entire country. Even though BJP has won more seats in the state, BJP’s vote share has declined. He explained with statistics that though Congress won fewer seats, the vote share has increased.
BJP’s popularity has fallen
The CM explained that the BJP’s influence in the entire country and in the state has declined drastically compared to 2019.
It is uncertain who will form the government at the centre, he said.
