Bengaluru, Sept. 1: Akashavani FM Rainbow Kamanabillu, the popular FM radio station celebrated its22 anniversary after successfully completing 21 years on Thursday. The station ranks second in the Radio Audience Measurement (measures the listenership of radio listeners) survey.
The popular Kannada radio station – Akashavani FM Rainbow has completed 21 successfully increasing its audience base steadily year after year.
Speaking on the occassion Door Darshan programme chief Dr. Nirmala C Eligar
said last year, FM Rainbow had ranked second in the Radio Audience Measurement (measures the listenership of radio listeners). The commitment and perseverance of all the staff and Radio Jockeys (RJ) has taken the channel to such heights. Akashavani has brought in several reforms the much more changes are expected in the days to come for the success of the station.
FM Rainbow has attracted the audience due to the hard work of all the staff, said Neha Swamy and wished that many more creative programmes should be aired on the station.
It has been lauded in the Lok Sabha that the station is the popular one and the same trend is continuing. Akashavani radio programme audience Nagaraj speaking on the occasion said that he has been an avid fan and audience of Akashvani since 1978. He suggested to hold an interaction with fans and audience once in two years.
Young singers like Prabhanjan Prabhanjan, Neeraj amd Niranth enthralled the audience through their melodious songs.
Environmentalist and NPPA founder Dhruv Patil and others celebrated the anniversary by planting 21 saplings and cutting a cake at the premises of Akashavani in Benaluru.
