After DK Shi DK Suresh too files nomination for Kanakapura

Bengaluru, April 20: In an interesting and unusual development Congress MP DK Suresh on Thursday filed his nomination papers from Kanakapura constituency for the upcoming Assembly elections.

This development has raised eyebrows as his brother and KPCC President DK Shivakumar has already filed nomination on April 17 to contest from the constituency as the Congress candidate.

DK Shivakumar accompanied with thousands of party workers, supporters and well wishers filed nomination for Kanakapura constituency and it has remained bastion of DK brothers.

In anticipation of rejection of nomination of DK Shivakumar and as a precautionary measure DK Suresh has filed nomination.
Speaking to mediapersons DK Suresh said that nomination is filed to retaliate BJPs anti-opposition. Government machinery is under the clutches of incumbent government and hence there is a fear of rejection of nomination, he said.

Congress does not believe in hatred politics. People of Karnataka will give befitting reply in the upcoming polls on May 10, he said.

In the wake of ongoing IT and ED cases against DK Shivakumar he is resorting to play safe mode. In the event of DK Shivakumar’s nomination getting rejected DK Sureah can contest the election and home turf Kanakapura would not slipout of their hands!.
