Dr.Raj Kumar was an ambassador of simplicity and Sanskar

Strive to eradicate caste discrimination in society: Chief Minister Siddaramaiah

Bengaluru, June 9: The contribution of the society is immense for me to become the C.M, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah said and thanked all who shaped him as a person.

He was speaking at the falicitation programme organized by Dr.Rajkumar Academy who honored the candidates of the state who passed the UPSC Civil Service Examination 2022 at the Jnanajyoti Hall today.

Dr. Raj Kumar was a very simple personality. He was an ambassador of great culture who treated everyone with respect. There is a lot that we need to learn and adopt from Dr. Raj’s life. Raghavendra Rajkumar and the staff of the academy have contributed a lot to make Dr. Rajkumar Academy a huge success, he said.

Due to caste discrimination a huge number of people are deprived of education. They do not get education and opportunities. He called upon the UPSC toppers to strive for the progress of the country and society by erasing this inequality and caste system.

Former Defence Secretary Dr. Srinivasan, former Deputy Chief of Army Staff Lt. Gen. Ramesh Halagali, former Principal Chief Commissioner K. Satyanarayana, former Vice-Chancellor of Agricultural University K. Narayana Gowda were felicitated. Academy head Raghavendra Rajkumar and actor Puneeth Rajkumar’s wife Ashwini were present.

Reminiscing his association with Dr.Raj, the Chief Minister said ‘when I went to meet Raj, he used to happily say “Banni Banni Nam kadinavaru”. He recalled that they both belonged to the same district.
