Bengaluru, July 10: There is no need for public panic over the recent rise in heart attack cases in the state. The government is taking appropriate steps in this regard, said Dr. Sharanaprakash R. Patil, minister for medical education, skill development, livelihood and Raichur district in-charge.
Speaking to the media in front of AICC President Mallikarjun Kharge’s residence in Sadashivanagar, Bengaluru, the minister reassured the public. “There is no need for people to panic about heart attacks. The issue is being overly sensationalized in the media, which naturally causes fear among the public. People should instead follow the advice given by doctors and health department officials,” he said.
He urged the public to adopt healthy lifestyle habits including regular, nutritious food intake, exercise, yoga and other positive routines. “Our health is in our own hands,” he added.
Dr. Patil emphasized reducing junk food and harmful habits. “Avoiding deep-fried foods and making conscious dietary choices can help safeguard your health. Stay alert, stay safe and steer clear of panic,” he advised.
