In an interesting development, senior IAS officer Vandita Sharma is appointed as rhe new chief secretary to state government.
Vandita Sharma will be succeeding P. Ravi Kumar who will retire on May 31. 1986 batch IAS officer will succeed incumbent P Ravi Kumar. She will be in office till November 2023. At present, Vandita is serving as the additional chief secretary-cum-development commissioner.
She is the fourth women who will be assuming charge as choef secrtary.
Theresa Bhattacharya (2000), Malati Das (2006) and Ratna Prabha (2017) served as chief secretary.
