Yadagiri: Setting up of industries will be promoted in the region by extended to 7,000 acres from the existing 3,500 acres at Kadechuru near here and the Union Government is granting financial assistance of Rs 1,000 crores for the purpose, Dr.C.N.Ashwatha Narayana, Minister for IT/BT and Skill Development, stated on Sunday.
Launching the Government Tools and Training Center (GTTC) set up at Kadechuru- Baadiyaala industrial area, he said, the new center has been established at a cost of Rs. 17 crores.
Dassault company, the pioneer in manufacturing aircraft, has set up a Center of Excellence (CoE) here to provide admission for 120 students every year. This center would enable providing skilled manpower needed for local industries, he opined.
This center houses high-quality labs of Electrical Installation, IoT, and English Language Learning, and 200 students will be trained at the English lab every year, Minister stated.
Long-term courses in Tool & Dye Making and Mechatronics (each of 4 years) will be commenced at the new GTTC center. In addition, short-term courses in Fitter, Turner, Miller, Grinder, Solid Works, Unigraphics, Autocad, Master Cam, Cad Cam will offer training for 400 students free of cost, Narayana informed.
Industrial training is made mandatory for students studying in the final year of the long-term courses with an allowance of Rs 15,000/- per month. The government is committed to creating an entrepreneurial ecosystem in the district, Minister said.
Baburao Chinchanasur, Chairperson, Ambigara Chowdaiah Development Board, Raghavendra, MD, GTTC, Sharanappa R.Talawara, Chairperson, Krishna CADA were among those who were present.
