Bengaluru, Nov. 8: Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah gave a sharp response to Maharashtra BJP’s misleading advertisement accusing the Karnataka government of unfulfilled promises, claiming “Vaada Kiya, Dhoka Diya” (Made promises, but cheated). At a campaign rally in Sandur, CM Siddaramaiah countered these accusations with “Vaada Diya, Poora Kiya” (Made promises, fulfilled them), emphasizing Karnataka’s successful implementation of initiatives, including free bus travel for women.
He highlighted the BJP’s pattern of spreading falsehoods, dubbing it their “family tradition.” The CM stressed that Karnataka’s five major guarantees, including the Shakti scheme, are running smoothly, unlike BJP’s alleged broken promises. He pointed out PM Modi’s unfulfilled pledges like bringing back black money and creating jobs, questioning, “Where are your ‘achhe din’?”
He criticized the massive expenditure on advertisements to spread what he described as falsehoods, contrasting it with the tangible outcomes of his government’s policies.
The CM’s statements underscore Karnataka’s delivery of welfare schemes while positioning BJP as focusing on propaganda rather than results.
