Commending the efforts of Narayan Seva Sansthan’s free services towards the welfare of differently-abled people Health and Family Welfare Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao stated that no other organization in the country, or even the world, provides such exemplary service.
Speaking at the inauguration of free Medical Camp for surgical screening and Narayan Limb and Calipers measurement organized under the aegis of Narayan Seva Sansthan, Udaipur, on Sunday at Chandrasagar Kalyana Mantapa, Jayanagar,
the minister praised the organization’s commitment and integrity, highlighting its provision of quality medical services and prosthetics to those in need.
More than 1,050 patients from remote districts of Karnataka, as well as from Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala, participated in the camp seeking medical assistance.
Bengaluru Branch President Vinod Jain, Trustee Devendra Chaubisa, and representatives from General Motors were present on the occasion.
Mr Rao noted the organization’s efforts to empower differently-abled individuals to lead self-sufficient lives. He emphasized that Narayan Seva Sansthan is also engaged in various social activities, providing exceptional service. The Minister took personal responsibility for securing free land to establish a Narayan Seva Sansthan branch in Bengaluru, assuring more than 100% effort toward this goal. A suitable decision will be made after discussions with Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He acknowledged that much of the work typically done by the government is being effectively carried out by the organization and encouraged them to continue their good work in Karnataka.
A dignitary at the event praised Sansthan’s commitment to empowering the differently-abled physically, socially, economically, and intellectually, aligning with the vision of a progressive India. He emphasized the collective responsibility to ensure a dignified place in society for differently-abled individuals.
During his visit, the Chief Guest interacted with beneficiaries and observed the treatment and rehabilitation processes conducted by the medical team.
At the outset, Trustee and Director Devendra Chaubisa welcomed the dignitaries and shared insights into Narayan Seva Sansthan’s initiatives. These include free surgeries, Narayan Limb distribution, daily meals for 5,000 individuals, free education for 800 underprivileged laborers’ children at Narayan Children’s Academy, and skill development training in computers, mobile repair, tailoring, and mehendi application for differently-abled individuals. The Sansthan also organizes mass weddings to help them start new lives.
Bengaluru Branch President Vinod Jain highlighted the significance of the camp, stating that children, adults, and elderly individuals from all age groups participated. This was Narayan Seva Sansthan’s third camp in Bengaluru, supported by General Motors under its CSR initiative. More than 1050 differently-abled individuals were examined by the medical and P&O teams, with measurements taken for Narayan Limb and calipers. Additionally,150 individuals were selected for free corrective surgeries.
A 40-member team from the Sansthan ensured smooth operations. The camp was coordinated by Khubilal Menaria and Lalit Lohar from Mumbai, while Hari Prasad Laddha delivered the vote of thanks, and Aishwarya Trivedi managed event coordination.
