Bengaluru, June 27: Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar today asked the partymen, who have been talking to the media about additional DCMs, to talk to the Party High command.
Speaking to reporters at Vidhana Soudha, he said, “Media can only give publicity but not solutions. There is no need for some of the partymen to talk to the media about party matters. I also don’t talk about it in the media. They should go to the High command and seek solutions for their demands.”
Asked about Minister K N Rajanna’s comments about changing the KPCC President, he said, “Good for him, let him approach anyone he wants and find a solution for this.”
Kempe Gowda Jayanthi
Asked about Vokkaligara Sangha expressing unhappiness over Kumaraswamy and Deve Gowda not being invited for the 515th Kempe Gowda Jayanthi, he said, “There was no intention to disrespect anyone. S M Krishna, Sadananda Gowda, Deve Gowda and Kumaraswamy are all leaders of the community. The officials of the Authority have invited Vokkaliga representatives of Tumakuru, Bengaluru and Bengaluru Rural only. Will ensure that all Vokkaliga leaders are invited for the Kempe Gowda Jayanthi next year. We have instructed the Authority officials to invite leaders and swamijis of all sects as Kempe Gowda, the builder of Bengaluru, belongs to all communities. There is no need to politicise this,” he said.
Asked about his visit to Delhi, he said, “I would like to meet the newly elected MPs from the State and urge them to take up issues facing the State. Funds have not been released for many key projects in the Centre and our MPs need to raise these issues in the Parliament.”
